Final Step
Connect Your Ad Agency

This is the step that gives your agency access to run ads on your behalf. You keep full ownership of your accounts — your agency gets managed access only.

How This Works

This process uses Meta's Business Portfolio (formerly Business Manager). It's the safest way to give an agency access — you keep ownership of everything, and you never share your personal login. To get started, you'll need your agency's 15-digit Business ID.

Step 1
Open Business Settings
1 Go to business.facebook.com/settings (button below).
2 If you have multiple businesses, select the correct one from the dropdown menu in the top left.
Step 2
Add Your Agency as a Partner
1 In the left sidebar under Users, click Partners.
2 Click the blue + Add button.
3 Select "Give a partner access to your assets".
4 Paste your agency's Business ID into the box and click Next.
Step 3
Assign Assets & Permissions

A window will open with three columns. You need to tell Meta exactly what your agency can access:

1 Click Pages → select your business page → toggle on Create Ads or Full Control.
2 Click Ad Accounts → select your ad account → toggle on Manage Ad Account (required for them to run and spend on ads).
3 Click Pixels / Datasets → select your tracking pixel → toggle on Manage Dataset (so they can see your conversion data).
4 Click Instagram Accounts → select your profile → toggle on Ads.
5 Click Save Changes.
Open Meta Business Settings

Opens in a new tab — this page stays open

Why This Is Safe

By adding your agency as a Partner (not a "Person"), you're connecting their business entity to yours. No individual at the agency gets direct access to your personal Facebook profile. If you ever stop working with them, go back to the Partners tab and click Remove — it kills all their access instantly.

If the Agency Can't See Your Account

Make sure you have a payment method already attached to your Ad Account. Meta often hides unfunded accounts from agency dashboards. Add a credit card to the Ad Account first, then try again.

You're All Set

Once all four steps are complete, your agency has everything they need to start building and launching your campaigns. You'll hear from your team shortly.
